Although the Eagles are primarily known for their offense, it was what they did on other end of the floor that fueled Friday’s 7-AA road win.

Limiting Murray County to two points in the third quarter, the Eagles were able to reverse a six-point deficit into a four-point lead. The Eagles then outscored Murray County 20-14 in the final eight minutes to secure the win.

Korley Grier finished with a team-high 15 points for Coosa, and Chrisitan McFather added 14.

D.Q. Dennis had 10 points for the Eagles, who bounced back effectively from Tuesday’s 65-45 loss to Pepperell at home.

Coosa now turns its attention to the Holiday Festival. The Eagles play Armuchee in the first round on Monday at GHC.
